Windows 2003 RIS Server

If You want to deploy larger amounts of (Windows) Clients You should think of tools like NetInstall OSD or Windows RIS Server. The difference: RIS is included in each Windows Server Package.

Disadvantage: RIS does not allow You to customize too much ;-) (exept You use 3rd party tools)

Keep in mind to host Your Installation-Shares on a seperate Volume because a Service called "Groveler" does some funny things with Your Filesystem. It saves Disk-Space through analyzing the compete Filesytem of the Drive where the RIS-Share resides and avoiding duplicate files - if identical - by keeping only one physical copy and all other are just "links".
