ich bin überhaupt nicht von dem Gerät begeistert, ständig Aussetzer, Ruckler
etc. meiner Meinung nach kann man sich die 90 Eur. getrost sparen!

Here some hints & tips, I had Problems while Daisy-Chaining DVD-VCR-TV with
Screenflickering, disabling Macrovision works (I thougt Macrovision is intended
to CopyProtect?? but it seems to make trouble in this above mentioned
configuration :-(

you should see Ver2 or Ver255 (region code)
6. press "arrow up"
7. press "arrow left"
you should see 4000
8. press "arrow up"
9. press "arrow left" until you see 3000
10. press "SETUP"

Well, on my 562 the Regioncodefree-hack is the
following:
On the RemoteControl:
Press: SETUP
VOLUME +
VOLUME -
VOLUME +
VOLUME -
then, in the upper left corner there will be "ver. 2" (the 2 is fo europe, but
it will be whatever your region is), this can be changed to any number or 255
for all regions with the LEFT and RIGHT Curser-Keys on the remote.
If you press UP or DOWN there will be the number 4001, you can change this to
4000...
Same thing for the nuber 3001...
First I thought it would turn Macrovision off, but it is still active, so I
don't know what it does...

For Mustek DVD-V562 with Winbond-Cip
and newest Firmware on Remotecontrol
press Setup,Next,Prev.,Next,Prev.
A hidden Menue appears with Ver.X.
X is your Regioncode.
Set Ver.X to 255 with Up or Down Keys
and yor Mustek is Regionfree.
Press Setup to leave the Menue.

I tried all of the hacks in the internet but no
worked.
But then i found out how it works:
1. Switch on the best DVD Player of the world "Mustek DVD-V562"
2. Be sure, that there is no DVD in the best DVD Player of the world
3. Press "SETUP"
4. Press "NEXT"
5. Press "PREV"
6. Press "NEXT"
7. Press "PREV"
8. Now you will see in the upper right corner an little Menu. With UP an DOWN
you can swith between the entrys and with LEFT and RIGHT you can change them
9. Change your Regioncode with LEFT or RIGHT to 255 and it will be REGIONCODE
FREE (e.g. from 2 to 255)
10. Change the entrys 3001 and 4001 to 3000 and 4000, and Macrovision 3 and 4
will be turned off

Make sure there is no disc in the player, then
press "setup" on your remote. Then

After that you'll see "ver #"in the top right corner of the screen. Now use the
left and right buttons on your remote to switch regions. You can just set the
right region (1,2, etc.) or choose ver 255, wich is region-free.
This hack is the only one that worked on my Mustek v562.

Just done my V562 with this and works OK
Press Setup
Press next
Press previous
Press next
Press previous
Select region 255 using direction keys (Left or Right)
Press Setup again to exit and the region free feature is enabled.

Password - In my manual there does not appear a
password, however after a few seconds of playing around i found out that the
password is 9999 . This particular unit was subcontracted from Mustek to
Selectron.

...quickly, in that order.
You should now see a menu called LOOPHOLES (if you don't try again, faster!)
3. In the LOOPHOLES-menu goto REGION-ID, and select "BY PASS". Macrovision
should be set to OFF.
Your Mustek DVD V560 is now region-free!

urn player on with no disk in drive.
press setup
alternate volume '+' and '-' on the remote until the menu disappears and you get
ver 2 in the top right
then press the left or right arrow keys on your remote to scroll through the
different regions untill you get to the one you want then simply press setup to
save. select ver 225 to set to all regions. this will save you having to set it
manualy every time you put a different region disk in but may not play the new
double region locked DVDs on the market now. to play them you should set to the
specific region
